Book Launch: New Technologies in Public Administration as Reflected by Canadian and Russian Experience

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new book, co-edited by Andrei  Margolin and Piotr Dutkiewicz and based on original research and work by Chris Stoney, Lesie Pal, and the Russian – Canadian GAEP Project: «Новые технологии государственного управления в зеркале канадского и российского опыта» (New Technologies in Public Administration as Reflected by Canadian and Russian Experience).
The launch will take place on January 24th in Moscow in the presense of the H.E. Canadian Ambassador, representatives from the Presidential Administration, media and the academic community.  
CGPM has been working closely with Russian partners (Moscow University of Management) to deliver this textbook.

Past Projects

RUSSIA

Jointly-offered MPA with the Russian Academy of Public Administration [Text] With the leadership of CGPM, Carleton University and the School of Public Policy and Administration is partnering with the Russian Academy of Public Administration (RAPA) to jointly deliver a new Executive MPA. Carleton will send faculty to teach several times a year, and will be involved in the testing and certification of students. This will be a unique program to help build capacity in Russian public administration.

Joint CGPM-AUCC University Governance Project in Botswana

The Centre was contracted by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) to help the Botswana Ministry of Education to establish a second National Technical University. A group of Carleton senior administrators and faculty are engaged in developing academic policies, student management and enrolment planning, and academic services. The University, which will start to enroll its first students in 2012, will be the flagship of Botswana’s growing economy and will enroll 12,000 students by 2016. The Centre will be working on this project until March 2009.
