Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies (ALDS)

ALDS 3803 [0.5 credit]

Practicum in Language Study

Integrates theory and description of language learning with practical work in one of the languages offering the Minor. Observation in a beginner's level language classroom and practical assistance with facilitating in-class or language lab activities and possibly with developing teaching materials.
Prerequisites: Registration in the Minor of the language in question and completion of the prerequisites for 4010 of that language; completion of ALDS 2203, or permission of the School. Permission of the language instructor mentor must be obtained prior to registration in this course.
