Linguistic Theory and Second-Language Learning
A critical study of linguistic theory and description applied to second-language learning. Includes a brief consideration of similarities and differences in first- and second-language development, bilingualism and types of linguistic error and their significance.Precludes additional credit for LALS 2203 (no longer offered).
Lectures three hours a week.
