Aboriginal Criminal Justice
Aboriginal peoples and the administration of Canadian criminal justice including policing, courts, corrections and aftercare. Content and effects of past and present policies, processes and laws. Alternatives such as self-government and self-determination; potential approaches to an appropriate justice system for Aboriginal peoples.Prerequisites: fourth-year Honours standing and one of LAWS 2004 [1.0] (no longer offered), LAWS 2301, LAWS 2302.
Seminars three hours a week.
