Advanced Economics of Information and Media
The economics of information production, its distribution through broadcasting, publishing or the Internet, its exchange through telephone and e-mail networks, and its use in private and public organizations. An analysis of telecommunications, broadcasting, copyright, privacy, and Internet policy.Precludes additional credit for ECON 3200 (no longer offered), ECON 3850, and ECON 4205 (no longer offered).
Prerequisite: ECON 2030 with a grade of C- or higher or ECON 2003 (no longer offered) with a grade of C- or higher.
Lectures three hours a week.
