Algebraic Number Theory (Honours)
Algebraic number fields, bases, algebraic integers, integral bases, arithmetic in algebraic number fields, ideal theory, class number. Also offered at the graduate level, with additional or different requirements, as MATH 5306, for which additional credit is precluded.Prerequisite: MATH 3158 (may be taken concurrently) or MATH 3100, or permission of the School.
Lectures three hours a week.
