  Languages for Specific Purposes
  An introduction to Languages for Specific Purposes – language instruction tailored to specific groups of learners, e.g. English for Science, for Business, for the Workplace, for Academic Purposes. Research and teaching methodology. Emphasis on EAP/ESP research and instruction at Carleton.
  Also offered at the graduate level, with additional or different requirements, as 
LALS 5208, for which additional credit is precluded.
  Prerequisite: third-year standing in Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, or enrolment in the CTESL program.
  Lectures three hours a week.
