History of Humanitarian Aid
A history of humanitarian activities and agencies, both governmental and non-governmental, with particular attention to Canadian involvement. The first half is devoted to early humanitarian traditions, the second to specific agencies such as the Red Cross, Oxfam, Christian Aid, Save the Children and UNICEF. (Field e)Prerequisite: a 2000-level history course or third-year standing and 1.0 credit in history.
Lectures three hours a week.
