France since 1889
A study of the major political, social, cultural, and economic developments in France since 1889. Topics may include the Dreyfus Affair, the First and Second World Wars, Republican political culture, colonialism and decolonization, youth culture and protest, and historical memory and commemoration. (Field b)Precludes additional credit for HIST 2505 (no longer offered).
Lectures three hours a week.
