Sustainability and Environment in the South
Analysis of the relationships between people and environment in selected regions in the South (Africa, Asia, Latin America). Emphasis on sustainable livelihoods and local action in relation to broader socio-economic and political processes. Regions selected vary from year to year.Prerequisite: third-year standing and GEOG 2200 or GEOG 2300 or permission of the Department.
Lectures two hours a week, discussion groups one hour a week.
