Qualitative Methods
In-depth examination of the rationale for and use of qualitative approaches in geographical research. Topics include: links between theory and methods; qualitative methodologies, such as: interviewing, textual analysis, group discussions, participant observation, ethnography; interpretative strategies; research ethics; triangulation.Prerequisite: GEOG 2005.
Lecture and discussion three hours per week.
