FREN 1002 [1.0 credit]
Low Intermediate French
Taught in French for students who have had exposure to French but who have difficulty using it in day-to-day communication. Emphasis on oral expression and comprehension; development of reading and writing skills. Oral practice, oral presentations, interviews, cultural activities, grammar exercises. Attendance and participation are compulsory. Limited enrolment. No auditors.Prerequisite: Self-assessment questionnaire.
Lecture three hours a week.
Note: Students who have not previously taken a language course in the Department and who wish to enrol in FREN 1001, FREN 1002, FREN 1100, FREN 1110, FREN 2100 or FREN 2110 must fill out the online Self Assessment Questionnaire and then register. Students should note that they cannot go backward in a sequence of levels in language courses.
