Film and Society
An examination of film in relation to social and intellectual developments of the twentieth century. The ways in which the cinema has both shaped and been shaped by some of these developments are considered. (Also listed as

Prerequisite: 1.0 credit in FILM and third-year standing, or permission of the Discipline or the School.
Lecture and screening three hours a week, lecture one hour a week.
