Monetary Theory I
Foundations of monetary theory. Classical, Keynesian and other money transmission mechanisms; the "optimum quantity of money"; estimates of supply and demand; difficulties of policy implementation in open and closed economies and in a growth context.Prerequisites: ECON 2003 with a grade of C- or higher, and ECON 2103 with a grade of C- or higher.
Lectures three hours a week.
