Competition and Regulatory Policy
Public policies relating to competition and regulation. Topics may include: Ramsey pricing, peak-load pricing, cross-subsidization, access pricing (ECPR), multi-part pricing and price discrimination, predatory and targeted pricing, vertical restrictions, traditional regulation (including rate-of-return regulation), incentive regulation (including price caps), and the political economy of regulation.Precludes additional credit for ECON 3300 and ECON 4300 (no longer offered).
Prerequisite: ECON 2003 with a grade of C- or higher.
Lectures three hours a week.
