COMM 4404 [0.5 credit]

Broadcast and Digital Media

The social, economic, and political properties of broadcast and digital communication media; the history of these media, their legal and regulatory constitution, online communities, and the interaction of "old" and "new" media.
Prerequisite: COMM 2101, COMM 3403, one of COMM 3106, COMM 3108 or COMM 3109, and fourth-year standing in Communication Studies or permission of the School of Journalism and Communication.
Lectures three hours a week.
