Visions of Kerouac
Vincent Chetcuti

I. JACK when I see you heading toward those ever-growing industry-scarred outskirts of paranoid city dreams & desires I succumb to a wretched earthiness all caked & weathered in warm brown smiles of uncluttered memories & tapestries & I begin to look for companionship in the subterranean sea of pleasure dipped in buckets of diamond crystals somehow involved in some dilemma so deep & sad even the sun can't find it!

II. JACK you cracked the whip far too soon letting that outdoor summer strength die in your October railroad eyes all red & ragged pieces of sky drenched in sorrow & tears old & mad upon your bloated tragic cheeks of timelessness & forever searching pleas for friends in need of a bit of rest from the tired heartaches of the road & innocently you waved your hand across the lips of illusion & now you're safe & warm in your earth clay bed of dusty dead dreams

                                    just like you said!

                                                                        just like you said!
