Date: February 23, 2012
Location: Carleton University campus
Time: 9:15 AM - 2:15 PM
This annual conference brings together more than 500 Ottawa-area senior level students from English and French high schools to hear a Keynote Address (one English and one French) by notable professionals. Students select from a list of workshops on a wide range of topics in international affairs that are offered during the day. Workshop presentations are offered at multiple times during the conference day. Students are recommended to bring a brown bagged lunch for the day; the food court in the university centre does offer a limited selection of food service.
This is a free event offered to students through the support of the Centre and is open to all high schools who wish to attend.
The 2012 Conference will take place February 23. This year's English keynote speaker is Dr. John Curtis, Sr. Research Fellow at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, who will speak on, "Will the World Economy Ever Get Back to Normal?" The French keynote speaker is Lt Col Eric Charron, who will speak on, «Les Forces Canadiennes dans un monde en changement».
