Yacov Hadas-Handelsman is a specialist on the politics and history of the Middle East and the Israeli-Arab peace process. In a nearly 30-year career with the Israeli Foreign Service, he has been posted to Turkey, Austria, London, Qatar, where he served as Israeli Trade Representative, and Jordan, where he served as Ambassador. He has served as Director of the Syria and Lebanon Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Center for Political Research, Policy Advisor to the Deputy Foreign Minister, and, since 2006, Deputy Director General of the Middle East and Peace Process division. |
