Practice and Policy in Immigration
Canadian immigration policies and practices. The historical context of immigration policies; direct practice with immigrants and refugees; settlement and integration issues; immigrants and refugee women; intergenerational family relations; resources and community organizing.Prerequisite: third-year Honours standing, SOWK 1000; or SOWK 3000 (which may be taken concurrently); or permission of the School of Social Work.
Lecture three hours a week.
