Political Thought in the Modern Muslim Middle East
Contemporary secular and religious responses to the challenges of modernity. Readings include writings of Arab, Turkish, and Iranian intellectuals. Also offered at the graduate level with different requirements, as PSCI 5305, for which additional credit is precluded.Prerequisite: fourth-year Honours standing or permission of the Department, and one of PSCI 2300 or PSCI 3311.
Seminar three hours a week.
