Mathematics for Molecular Biology
Linear recurrences; difference equations; graph theory and trees; heuristic and approximation algorithms; software tools; DNA sequencing methods; alignment; string similarity; genetic mapping.Prerequisite: MATH 1102 (or MATH 1107); and MATH 1002 (or MATH 2007).
Lectures three hours a week.
