MATH 3806 [0.5 credit]
Numerical Analysis (Honours)
Elementary discussion of error, polynomial interpolation, quadrature, linear systems of equations and matrix inversion, non-linear equations, difference equations and ordinary differential equations. (Also listed as COMP 3806.)Precludes additional credit for MATH 3800.
Prerequisites: i) MATH 1002, MATH 1005 or MATH 2007; and ii) MATH 1102 or MATH 2107; and (iii) knowledge of a computer language.
Lectures three hours a week and one hour tutorial.
