Elements of Set Theory (Honours)
Axioms of set theory. Development of the systems of natural numbers and the real numbers. Axiom of choice, Zorn's lemma, well-ordering. The Schröder-Bernstein theorem, cardinal numbers, ordinal numbers, transfinite induction, cardinal and ordinal arithmetics.Prerequisite: MATH 2100 or permission of the School.
Lectures three hours a week and one hour tutorial.
