Criminal Justice Reform
Social transformation and criminal justice reform. Theoretical and practical reasons for the use of criminal law as an instrument of social control. Specific reform initiatives and processes. Alternate responses to social problems.Prerequisites: fourth-year Honours standing and 1.0 credit from LAWS 2004 [1.0] (no longer offered), LAWS 2301, LAWS 2302.
Seminars three hours a week.
