Administrative Law
Structure and procedure of Canadian administrative authorities; policy, statutory and judicial environments in which they operate. Topics include techniques for implementing public policy and structuring public authorities; statutory interpretation; procedural safeguards; exercise of statutory discretion; reconciling efficiency and fairness.Prerequisites: LAWS 2005 [1.0] (no longer offered) or LAWS 2502 or LAWS 3005 or LAWS 3502/JOUR 3502/ MCOM 3502 (no longer offered).
Lectures three hours a week.
