ISCI 1001 [0.5 credit]
Introduction to the Environment
The nature of the biosphere: scientific bases of important environmental issues; evolution of life; properties and dynamics of populations and ecosystems; biodiversity; introduction to identification skills; sustainability of renewable resources, including food. Not acceptable for credit in a Science program.Precludes additional credit for ISCI 1000.
Prerequisite: a knowledge of Grade 10 advanced level Mathematics will be assumed.
Lectures/demonstrations three hours a week and project assignments.
