Platonism and Idealism
The Platonic tradition in epistemology will be compared with Modern epistemological theories, primarily from the German Idealistic school. Main authors will be Plato, Kant, Hegel. Other authors may include Plotinus, Proclus, Augustine, Eriugena, Cusanus, Ficino, Leibniz, Spinoza, Locke.Prerequisite: third-year standing in the Bachelor of Humanities program.
Lectures three hours a week.
