Major economic, social, political and cultural developments in twentieth-century U.S.; the United States's growing economic and cultural involvement with the rest of the world. (Field c)Precludes additional credit for HIST 3404 (no longer offered).
Prerequisite: a 2000-level history course or third-year standing and 1.0 credit in history.
Lectures three hours a week.
