Major economic, political, social and cultural developments in nineteenth-century America; the United States' growing economic and cultural involvement with the rest of the world, especially with the other continents of the Atlantic World. (Field c)Prerequisite: a 2000-level history course or third-year standing and 1.0 credit in history.
Lectures three hours a week.
