Medieval Aristocratic Life
A general examination of the life of European ruling elites from the ninth to the 13thcentury, with special reference to the Anglo-Norman and French experiences of noble
power, conduct, and prestige. (Field a)
Prerequisite: a 2000-level history course, or third-year standing and 1.0 credit in history.
Lectures three hours a week.
