History at the Movies
A course that considers the opportunities offered by the historical feature film in the representation of the past, focusing on how historical themes and subjects have been treated in feature films, cinematic uses of the past, the role of film in shaping public memory and understanding the past. (Field e)Prerequisite: a 2000-level history course, or third-year standing and 1.0 credit in history.
Lectures three hours a week.
