Introduction to Applied Sociology
Survey of the historic and contemporary contributions of Sociology to various applied fields, which may include official statistics, policy studies, consumer research, and workplace management. Focus on the philosophical, professional, and ethical distinctions between scholarly and applied sociology.Prerequisite: normally restricted to students entering the first year of a B.A. program.
Seminars three hours a week.
