Contemporary Moral, Social, and Religious Issues
Philosophical problems associated with such topical issues as feminism; atheism vs. theism; the meaning of life; moral relativism vs. moral objectivism; egoistic vs. non-egoistic ethics; euthanasia and capital punishment; legal paternalism; freedom of the will.Precludes additional credit for PHIL 1500 and PHIL 1550.
Prerequisite: normally restricted to students entering the first year of a B.A. program.
Seminars three hours a week.
