Physics of the Earth
The physical properties of the solid Earth. Gravitational, magnetic and palaeomagnetic fields; seismology and earthquake occurrence; heat flow and thermal history. Geodynamic processes.Also offered at the graduate level, with additional or different requirements, as ERTH 5171, for which additional credit is precluded.
Prerequisites: ERTH 2105.
Lectures three hours a week.
