Gender, Sexuality and Literature
How literature represents, reproduces, and resists cultural notions of gender and sexuality. Topics may include: gender and sexuality in relation to literary history, production, and reception; literature by/about “deviant” or subcultural sexualities and genders.Precludes additional credit for ENGL 2902 [1.0] (no longer offered).
Prerequisite: 1.0 credit in ENGL at the 1000 level or permission of the department.
Lectures three hours a week.
