Microwave Circuits
Introduction to microwave tubes, semiconductor devices, and passive components. Scattering matrix description of microwave junctions. Properties of basic reciprocal and non-reciprocal passive microwave devices. Fundamentals of microwave amplifiers and oscillators. Design of solid-state microwave amplifiers and oscillators.Prerequisite: ELEC 4503; may be taken concurrently.
Lectures three hours a week, laboratory three hours alternate weeks.
