Public Economics: Taxation
A discussion of the theory of taxation and an examination of empirical attempts to quantify the theory. Some topics of current interest, such as the redistribution of income in Canada and tax reform, are examined.Precludes additional credit for ECON 3405, ECON 3407 (no longer offered), and ECON 4401 (no longer offered).
Prerequisite: ECON 2030 with a grade of C- or higher or ECON 2003 (no longer offered) with a grade of C- or higher.
Lectures three hours a week.
