Transaction Processing Systems
Concepts and architectures of transaction processing systems and on-line transaction processing, with emphasis on data integration systems. Transaction properties and models, embedded-SQL, active rules, consistency maintenance, serializability, concurrency control, recovery, data integration systems and federated databases, introduction to transactions in web services and workflow systems.Prerequisites: COMP 2004 or COMP 2404, and COMP 3005.
Lectures three hours a week.
