Polymer Modeling
Polymer architectures; Flexible and rigid rod polymers; Rotational isomeric states (RIS); Molecular mechanics, Ramachandran Map, Helix parameters; internal and external parameters; regular and random coil structures; molecular dynamics; calculation of end-to-end distance, NMR chemical shifts; conformational entropy and properties.Prerequisite: MATH 1107 and CHEM 2204 or permission of the department.
Lectures three hours per week.
