Adaptations to Extreme Environments
Lectures, discussions and student presentations will be used to examine adaptations of animals to extreme environments (e.g. desert) or lifestyles (e.g. diving), at the physiological, biochemical and molecular levels. Emphasis on becoming familiar with the current primary literature.Prerequisites: BIOL 3305, or permission of the Department.
Lectures three hours a week, workshop two hours a week.
