Studies in Cultural Adaptations and the Environment
Cultural adaptations to the environment are set within globalization processes. New ecologies, symbolic, historical and political, arise out of prevailing models. The advocacy role of applied ecological anthropology and the consequences of Western cultures' adaptive capacities.Prerequisites: ANTH 1001 and ANTH 1002, or ANTH 1003 [1.0], or SOCI 1001 and SOCI 1002, or SOCI 1003 [1.0], and third-year standing.
Lectures three hours a week.
