Research and Theory in Workplace Writing
Study of contemporary research and theory (1980s to present) in writing in workplace settings. Consideration of how writing is used in accomplishing work, how novices learn to write effectively, and what the implications are for pedagogy. (Also listed as ENGL 3909.)Precludes additional credit for LALS 2407 [1.0], ENGL 2907, LALS 3400, LALS 3402, ENGL 3907.
Prerequisite: third-year standing or permission of the instructor.
Lectures three hours a week.
