Operating Systems
Introduction to operating system principles. Structure of an operating system; management of CPU, processes, and memory; dead-lock problems, file systems. Concurrent programming.
Precludes additional credit for
SYSC 3001.
Prerequisites: (
SYSC 2002 or
SYSC 2100) and (
SYSC 2003 or
SYSC 3003 or
SYSC 3006).
Lectures three hours a week.
