Language Processing and the Brain

Introduction to adult language processing and neurolinguistics. Psychological processes underlying speech production and perception, word recognition and sentence processing. Biological foundation and neuro-cognitive mechanisms of language. Experimental techniques and methodologies of current psycholinguistic studies. (Also listed as LALS 3601.)
Precludes additional credit for LALS 2601.
Prerequisite: FYSM 1206 or LALS 1000 or LALS 1001 or PSYC 2700.
Lectures three hours a week.
