17th Century Philosophy

European philosophy of the 17th century. Representative works of writers such as Francis Bacon, Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, and Locke.
Prerequisite: enrolment in Honours or Combined Honours Philosophy programs, or in Philosophy, Ethics and Public Affairs, or permission of the department.
Lectures three hours a week.
