Telecommunications Regulation
The law regulating Canadian broadcasting and communications industries. Focus on the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission. Topics may include: administrative formulation of policy, ownership rules, program content and quality, access to the media, cablevision licensing and control, alternative sanctions. (Also listed as

Prerequisite: one of
LAWS 2003,
LAWS 2004 or
LAWS 2005; or 1.0 credit at the 2000-level in Journalism or Mass Communication.
Lectures three hours a week.
