Numerical Analysis
Elementary discussion of error, polynomial interpolation, quadrature, linear systems of equations and matrix inversion, non-linear equations, difference equations and ordinary differential equations. (Also listed as
MATH 3806.)
Prerequisites: i)
MATH 1002,
MATH 1005 or
MATH 2007 (or
MATH 2001 or
MATH 2002); and ii)
MATH 1102 or
MATH 2107; and (iii) knowledge of a computer language.
Lectures three hours a week and one hour tutorial.
