COMP 1405 [0.5 credit]

Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming

A first course in problem solving and computer programming designed for B.C.S. students. Introduction to object-oriented programming; syntactic constructs, data abstraction, classification and inheritance, typing and polymorphism, testing and debugging.
Precludes additional credit for COMP 1005 and SYSC 1100.
Prerequisite: Restricted to students registered in the B.C.S. program, combined Honours in Computer Science and Mathematics, Honours Computer Mathematics, and Honours Computer Statistics.
Lectures three hours a week, tutorial one and a half hours a week.
