The Biophysics of Animal Movement

Properties of muscles, tendons, bones, joints and the co-ordinated use of these structures. Human locomotion and fitness, bird flight, especially the soaring of the vulture and the albatross, and animal migration.
Prerequisites: BIOL 2200 or CHEM 2101 and PHYS 1001 and PHYS 1002 or PHYS 1003 and PHYS 1004 or PHYS 1007 and PHYS 1008 or permission of the Department.
Lectures three hours a week.
